Studio Offerings
The heart of this studio is to fall in love with the process of creating so we will do lots of process art! Process art inspires kids to think critically, develop self-regulation skills, think outside the box and value their own unique ideas and creative abilities. This isn’t a studio where everyone leaves with an identical project. We value creative exploration, risk taking and play. Kids will be presented with supplies and a theme and encouraged to create within the boundaries they are given.
Story & Art
Mon & Thurs - 9:30a
Ideal for our young artists age 5 and under, we will begin with a short storytime followed by an art project that relates to the story we just heard. We will explore new materials and techniques. Each week will be a new story and project. All tiny artists in this class must be accompanied by an adult helper. (45min)
Open Studio
Mon & Thurs - 11a, 4p
Ideal for artists ages 6-12, we will be doing lots of process art! Blind self portraits, balloon sculptures, paper mache, variety of painting techniques and mediums, holiday themed art etc. Each week Open Studio will have a new theme/project, kids will be presented with materials and encouraged to create something unique (1 hr)
Art Party
Gather a few friends at a location of your choosing and get creative! All materials provided. Fun guaranteed. Minimum of 5 people required to book a party. We have a few suggested projects that you may choose from for the theme of your party. We will do all of the art supply prep and set up/clean up. Send an inquiry on the contact form for more info.

Classes are hosted at the Westhaven Art Center located on the second floor of the Westhaven Residents’ Club

Class sizes are limited so be sure to reserve your spot. Each child participating in a project must have a reserved spot. If you are an adult helper assisting a young artist you do not need to reserve a spot.
